About Me!

Welcome! This page will hopefully tell you about my personal skills and the things I like to do in my spare time.

From an Early age i knew music was going to be a big part of my life - either playing a musical instrument or being involved with music.

My Dad has been in a band since he was 16. So i guess thats why I wanted to play a musical instrument. However, he plays the keyboard/Piano and I play the drums. I have always wanted a drum kit since I was 8 years old. This was because my dad used to mess around with drum sticks when i was little. Over the years I have developed a strong sence of rhythm and progressivly got better at playing (but you never stop learning). I used to annoy the neighbours, as the drums are a loud instrument, so I decided to invest in an electronic drum kit. The first one I got was not bad, but it didn't feel like a natural kit, so I decided to get something a lot better - A Roland TD-12BK Electronic Drum Kit - One of the best electronic drum kits around (apart from its bigger brother the TD-20). This kit is amazing, and at around £2000 you'd think it should be. I am now in a 3 piece band, we are called Fused and play a variety of music from the sixties (The Beatles, Elvis, Hollies etc.) to todays music (Robbie Williams, Keane, Enrique, Mcfly, Take That etc.) We practice in my studio or rather my garage that has been converted into a home studio. We are going strong and will be around for many years.

Sound and Lighting engineering is also a great passion of mine. I enjoy setting up equipment for my band and disco and getting a great sound is very important to me. I was sound and lighting engineer for my Dads band when he was professional so I have had quite a bit of experience in this line of work.

Apart from Music, my other hobbies include, swimming, Working on my computer, watching TV (if you can call that a hobbie) and DJ-ing.

I have my own Disco called Fraggles Disco and I try to cater for all age groups allthough you can't please everyone. However It can be quite an expensive business as you need to buy all the equipment and keep up to date with all the current songs plus songs from years ago.
But It is a very enjoyable and gratifying job.

I have been in the DJ business for about 7 or so years now and I still enjoy it as much. I feel I am a fairly confident person when I am DJ-ing, and know just what to say between songs. I have done many different types of disco's including birthdays, weddings, childrens parties, house parties etc

I also work In Tesco, which is not all that bad. I work in the Electrical side of the shop and the staff are all friendly and as long as you know the product information it is not really a difficult job. I am only part time at the minute but hope to continue on to full time as soon as I can.
